emailing in word but need to attach a "reader" file for some people to read it.

I publish some information via email and have owners look at it. Some cannot read it because they are either Mac users or do not have Microsoft Word. Is there a 'reader' program like the one powerpoint uses for word? Where can I download it?
 
I would urge you to post your documents in pdf format, to which end their
are some pdf file creating tools downloadable via links on the favourites
page of my web site.
