Hi Corona,

What happens when you send a file to email (via the Common Tasks)?
Is the default mail client correctly set?

I clicked on "Email this folders files" in File and Folder Task pane on the
left after selected a file. It came up a logon to internet window which I
think ask me to log into hotmail. I wanted to send files from my outlook
express not hotmail. I thought my default mail client is outlook express.
How do I set up it correctly?

Thank you for your time Ramesh. Much appreciated.

Corona,

You can set the default email program in the Internet Options dialog box. Open Internet Explorer and click the Tools menu, choose Internet Options. Click Programs tab and select your email client (Outlook Express) from the drop-down listing. Once selected, click OK button and close the dialog.

Hi Ramesh,

Thank you for the advice. I followed your instruction below and I can now
send emails by clicking on an email address on websites. It opens up the
Outlook Express. However, when I try to send a file from my file folders,
for example My Documents folder (by right clicking /send to mail
receipient), it opens up internet Hotmail passport logon window. Where do I
set a default for sending files via my Outlook Express program? I looked
into Mail in Control Panel but couldn't figure it out.

I am so grateful for your help. And I am sorry to trouble you again.

Best Regards
Corona

Corona,

There are a couple of ways to fix the problem. See if the following method helps.

Click Start, Control Panel. Double-click Add or Remove Programs. Click "Set Program access and Defaults" button. Click "Custom" and select "Outlook Express". Click OK.

This ought to resolve the problem.
