I'm trying to email an appointment from work to home.
Work is MS 2000 with outlook. Home is Win XP Home with
Outlook 2002. I can get the email at home and it appears
the appointment is an attachment, and when I open the
attachment, there is nothing there. Is there a setting in
2002 or the 2000 at work?

TIA,
Glenn

What steps are you using to send the appointment? Is Exchange your mail
server?

Yes, Exchange is the email server on the 2000 machine.
What I do is right click on the appointment I want to send
to my home machine and select forward. I then type in the
email address and click send.

Make sure you've marked the recipient address for rich-text. DOuble-click
the address to check. The message format also needs to be rich-text. You
might find it easier to use the Forward as vCal/iCal command.

The forward option upon right click does not ask about
forwarding as vCal/iCal. I've changed both machines to
send in rich text. Double clicking an address opens a new
email, how will that tell me about rich-text?

Glenn

Double-clicking the email address in the To box on a message should give you
either a dialog or a contact, where you can double-click that email address
to get the dialog.

Yes, there is a dialog box and at the bottom is a check
mark for sending Rich Text. I checked that and it worked.

Thanks so much.
