emailing an Access report

allegedly, that's what "snapshot" is for. to send the
report in the snapshot format, you do file, send to mail
recipient as attachment, and select "snapshot" as the
format in the box that subsequently appears. i got the
impression from the documentation that this type of file
was like a .pdf insofar as the recipient wouldn't need
access to read it because it would open in its own self-
launching viewer. but i've had mixed results: in one case
where the recipient was able to open it, the font was
messed up (letters overlapping, not in intended font),
and in another case, the recipient told me they couldn't
open it (although i'm not sure if this was just because
she assumed she couldn't open it without access, didn't
know how to install snapshot viewer, or was just inept).
hope that's of some help.

Thanks for the info on exporting reports as a snapshot, everyone.

Question: I tried downloading the Snapshot Viewer from Microsoft's web site,
but I got a message saying "Access denied." Is it part of the MS Office
Suite that I should be able to obtain from the installation files? (I'm on
a network, and I have to get our IT people to install new components from
the installation files).
