First of all I am not a person who is technical. All I do
is use our computer for fun and information. So I don't
know a lot about the technical end.

When I open my email and there is an attachment. I try to
open it, or download it so I can open the attachment, a
message always comes back "file not found", this last
time an additional message showed up that said "outlook
express may not be installed correctly", if that may be
the case
#1 how did it get messed up & #2 how do I fix it? If
there is someone who can help I would appreciate
anything. Thank you....

Right now, everyone is really wary about attachments in light of the latest
virus. Be VERY careful of what you do open. Known sources and being
expected are two key considerations.

That said, your messages aren't typical. But try this. In the main OE
pane, go to Tools>Options...>Security tab and unmark, "Do not allow
attachments ... could contain virus." If no help, re-post and someone else
may have answer.

Malvern is right. You should always be extreamly careful with attachments
especially if they are from someone you dont know or aren't expecting.
Always scan your email with a virus scanner (There are plenty of free
ones available if you dont already have one) Please remember that
all emails are potentially very dangerous. I would also recommend that
you install & properly configure a firewall (Again there are free ones
available to download).
