email window in outlook express stays open after email is sent

Why is my outlook express acting this way. I open a new
message window and send the email when I am done composing
it and the window does not close...WHY? Please email me
the answer, if you have it.
 
I looked there was no pushpin very intermittent problem
too. Any other ideas?
