ok, hi everyone!

I just got front page 2002 and have been playing around a
bit and have hit a snag that has made me want to bang my
head against the wall until I am unconscious.

I want to send a page i made to a friend of mine, just to
see if it will work. So, I have the page open, and I go
to file, send, and I go to send it, and it works, except
none of the pictures will go through.

THEN, another time, it DID work...and what I noticed, was
that is seems to work when there's an asterix after .htm
(ie, new_page.htm*) and the asterix appears when I insert
a picture. but as soon as I save the page, the asterix
disappears. what is going on there? and how do I fix it?

thanks you so much if anyone can help.

In IE open your page and select File Save as Web Archive (.mht), then send him the .mht as an attachment

The asterisk is there to let you know that the file has been changed. When
you save it the asterisk dissapears because the version you are working with
is exactly the same as the one that is saved.

Sending a web page doesn't always work like expected. A web page itself
doesn't have any pictures in it, only links that reference pictures on a web
server. You can embed photos in in outlook email, but the default way a web
page is sent is still looking for the pictures to be out on the net. When
you receive HTML emails the pictures are almost always not part of the
email, they are in fact on the web somewhere and the email is actually
pointing to a web server where the image is located.

Hope this helps,
