Is there a way in Windows Mail (Vista) that I can set up the text for emails
that I need to send repeatedly? In the email program I used to use these were
called "Templates".

I cannot find any feature similar to this in the new Windows Mail, and it's
very time consuming to keep cutting and pasting text from WordPad.

Thanks.

If you had Outlook 2007:

Send an e-mail message based upon a template

A little trick I use is to create a signature with the text I want and then
insert it into the new message window using the "Insert/Signature" menu. For
simple "templates" it works very well. Hope this helps.

Several ways:
1. I save several Notepad files and when needed in a new message I click
Insert | Text from File.
2. Write the message and save it to the desktop (or where ever) as an EML
file. Double click that, make whatever changes and click Send. Your
template won't be changed.

You do not have to use Outlook, unless you need more sophistication. If it
is text you want to insert, the way you can do it is to use Signatures.
Type the text you want, then select and copy it. Now go to Tools/Options,
and choose the Signature tab. Click on New, give it a recognizable name,
and in the box below, paste the text you wanted.

Now when you want to use that text in an e-mail, just choose
Insert/Signature. The text will appear.
