You could have saved yourself time by the briefest search
of this forum where the problem is solved several times a day but...

Use this utility... (FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS)
http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/Default.aspx

If you purchased Vista by itelf, call Microsoft and they will walk you
through, or gain access to your PC and fix. If you purchased with the PC,
contact your PC manufacturer's support line. I yelled at Microsoft (who
should have a patch!!!), then spoke to Gateway and had the tech sign-on to my
PC and fix it. He had to reinstall the Mail program, but saved all the data
and put it back...

The message stuck in outbox is a problem easily corrected
by any user by using the Wmutil program which has yet to fail
if the instructions are followed.

I've seen several 'fixes', but felt a lot more comfortable having a tech from
a warrantied pc do the fix for me. But, thanks for the advice. If the
advice came directly from Microsoft, would be easier to rely on it. Maybe
I'll take the chance in the future.

Still advise to use your tech service to fix the issue.

This is the site that fixed my stuck mail. It's certainly not an antivirus
program problem as Gary VanderMolen suggest to pendo86. Thanks Julian

Please enlighten me. I don't understand your reference to my
suggested remedy for pendo86.
Pendo86's issue is entirely different from your issue, hence
it requires a different remedy.
