I've had this problem for quite a while now where my
internet email settings spontaneously change. Usually
it's the pop3 server name. I set it to 'pop' and hours or
days later, it changes to something else like
localhost/pop. Or the smtp setting changes, or the
account login name changes from paas to paas/pop/pop. I'm
using the Outlook 2000 client. Sometimes it even changes
in the middle of using outlook. I can tell when it's
happened because Outlook will start prompting me to login
because it is unable with the mangled settings.
I haven't been able to find anything in the knowledgebase,
and I'm up-to-date on all Windows 2000 and Office 2000
service packs.
Anybody heard of this, or have any suggestions?
