Hi, I am new at this. Can someone tell me why when I send an email at 9:30am
and I review message after sent, it shows 1:30pm. Also I notice when I
receive a message from someone and open at 9am, it shows 1pm sent? Thank You.

I did this and the date and time is correct and time zone shows GMT-0:500
Eastern time U.S.&Canada. However my email received and sent time is off by
4 hrs, sometimes forward sometimes backward

Ever tried to use Vista's Help and Support?
Comes in handy for simple things like this.
Try is once in a while.
Search for Time Zone.

If your time zone is set correctly, then the only way to figure out
where the discrepancy comes from is to trace through the
"Received" server time stamps. You can see those by pressing
Ctrl-F3 while viewing a message.

I notice on the top right of your reply it shows 9:52 am PST and here it is
1:15 pm EST the time I am currently reading your reply.

First of all, a news post like this one will not have nearly as many
time stamps as an email, so the news post is a poor example.
Yes, my previous post was dated 9:52 am Pacific time, which is
equivalent to 12:52 pm Eastern time. So, your seeing it at 1:15
Eastern time makes sense.
