Email scans disappearing from mailboxes in shared profiles

I have a user that views her's and one others mailbox. She can scan
from the copier to herself and him. When she opens the scan in her
email, it disappears out of his after a couple moments. Anyone have
any idea?
 
It's hard to comment without knowing your setup. My wild guess is Outlook
view is set to view Unread messages in the folder.

What Outlook version is it? Is there Exchange server in this scenario (I'm
guessing there is). How's outlook setup (connect to Exchange mailbox or
SMTP/POP3)?
