Jeff:

If you are sending .RTF format reports via email you are correct that a
great deal of the formatting will not be retained. You can output a
snapshot format file natively from within Access. Your recipients would
need to have the snapshot viewer installed (which thay can download from
MS). Snapshots will retain formatting. Your other alternative is to output
your report to an Adobe PDF format report (using any number of PDF drivers,
not just Adobe's) and that will retain your formatting.

If you are interested in PDF format, then our PDF and Mail Library for
Access will allow you to output PDF files and mail them with a very most
amout of code. You'll find it on our web.

Hi,

I have the same problem, however if sending in PDF or
Snapshot, the person receiving the report can not edit it
can they? and I need them to?

Please help.

Thanks

Andrew:

If you send a PDF file and the recipient has full Adobe Acrobat (not just
reader) then yes the PDF is editable (not like a work processor, but it is
editable). A snapshot is NOT editable.

hi thanks,

No they wont have full acrobat. is there no way I can
send a Word.Doc rather than RTF format that will hold all
the formatting and be editable in word?

Thanks

No, Access exports to RTF which Word can open.

YMMV in regards to text formatting, but exporting to RTF drops graphics.
