Email problems after downloaded Service Pk 2

I am having problems with my Outlook email ever since
downloading the Service Pack 2. I've disabled my Norton
Anti-Virus and email scanning, but the problem persists.
Whenever I send an email with an attachment, the
recepient receives multiple copies of the email, but in
an odd text only form. It's very irritating. I've
called Windows support and they say it's not the Service
Pak; I've called Outlook support and they say it's not
their software, and I've called my ISP (Cox) and they
have no idea what's happening. I don't know what to do
at this point.

Hi - best to post Outlook questions in microsoft.public.outlook - mention
your version of Outlook. Also - did you update Office via Office Update?

I spent almost two hours on the phone with an Outlook
support person, only to have her tell me "nothing is
wrong with our software, call your ISP." Didn't help me
one bit. I'll post on Outlook, but I don't see it
helping. But thanks. I'm not sure about updating
Office - whenever I get an 'updates available' notice, I
do check for updates.

Hi - Office Updates aren't included in Autoupdate. That's just for Windows
critical updates. Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and go to Office
Family, and check for updates there. See if the problem recurs. Then try
posting in an Outlook group.

That is an oddity for sure, but MS may be right. A friend of mine who
uses Cox as his ISP has been plagued with problems including my email
not being delivered to him, yet it delivers via BCC to a different ISP
perfectly. Also many copies of the same email sent from him to me will
be sent, though he has only sent it once. This appears to only have
started happening since SP2 - however, I believe that the Cox network is
acting up and the timing was just serendipitous. When speaking with a
Cox agent on behalf of my friend, they seemed to realize that there was
a problem, but were not able to readily identify where and why. While
this isn't solving anything for you, know that you aren't the only Cox
subscriber with problems. What state are you in that you are
experiencing these problems?
