The only suggestion I have is email Hotmail.

For info - I noticed you were showing online at Messenger last night.....just checked now and your showing offline.

Yeah i have done they have passed it onto the technical department. Hopefully I will get an answer today sometime

Its ok i remembered PW.

Account is fine. Hotmail was useless all they did is keep repeating the questions they originally sent me.
1. Your Windows Live ID =

2. Your first name and your last name =

3. Your date of birth =

4. Your country =

5. Your state =

6. Your postal code =

7. Your IP address List the IP addresses from each computer that you use to access your account =

8. The answer to your secret question =

9. The "alternate e-mail address" that is on file for the account =

10. Your Internet service provider =

11. The last date and time when you successfully signed in =

12. The names of any folders that you created in addit ion to the default folders =

13. Names of contacts in your address book =

14. Subjects of any old mail that is in your Inbox or mail folders =

15. Names of contacts on your contact list =

16. Your Windows Live Messenger nickname (display name) =

I sent them as much info as possible and all they did is tell me they cannot tell me whih is correct and which is wrong and can i fill all the questions in again so they can help!!! WTF??

How many people know every single contact and email address in an account they no longer have access to. F'n idiots!! Seen my arse..

On the plus side, at least you know you weren't hacked :)

I know what you mean :) It's just they have to ensure they make it very difficult to get the password back - otherwise someone could hack it by filling in that form ;)

I don't often fill in the real info anyway for most forms like that, so I'd be up a certain creek without a paddle if I lost the password

Yeah well i supplied them with information no other person would know about like how long the accounts been active. Loads of stuff like that.

Anyway its sorted now :D

whew! that could've been a scary deal if you were actually hacked. personally, i make it a point that all my passwords are at least 8 characters long; with alphanumeric, numeric and special characters in that. try to brute force that even with a super computer - that should take at least 5-10 years; and by that time, i will have had changed my password.
