See the other answers, but note that if the recipient doesn't have PowerPoint or the free PowerPoint viewer, they won't be able to play any PPT files. You can send them a link to the viewer so they can install it (which they may not want to do or be able to do). If you have a web site, you can convert the presentation to HTML, upload it to your site and send them a link to it.
