email notification at startup

hello is there any way i can disable the email notification at the login page
cause it will not update right even 3-4 days after i have read the email it
notifyes it still tells me that there is one (or more)
 
that feature should work if not than i think the only way you can do this is
have the "classic login prompt" where it wont be a blue screen but just a
standard username and password screen, the prob with this is that it disable
user switching then. But if you want this instead then user accounts under
control panel. If not you may have to live with it and see the course of why
your computer is slow in showing that info...
