email not displaying correctly

Hi,
does anyone know why the left hand side of my email is cut off on the
screen when I click to display it? Also, I used to click only once to display
email, now it's twice. to read email, or to reply to email, I must click on
the "maximize" button; only then can I see what's written on the left hand
side.

Is this web mail? Or using either MS Outlook Express, or MS Outlook
2003? It is hard to describe a fix without an idea of whether you are
viewing email through the browser, or a mail client.
