I'm looking for a new email / newsgroups client..

Ideally supporting:

Multiple Servers
Multiple Personalities

Something like 40tude Dialog, but no that !

Any Advice ?

Hmm... I don't think Claws supports HTML mails? Not too sure... will check
up on it later and let you know.

ONE OF THE MANY MURPHY'S LAWS OF COMBAT : Incoming fire has right-of-way.

Separate email and news clients. Just because you're used to
OE doesn't mean that combo units are the best way to go.
Tried that..
Not to keen, very slow on my PC !

What's your hardware -- what are we up against, here?

I currently use Agent Fully registered since Agent .99a

But fancy a change...

P4 @ 2.67Ghz
1GB RAM
Radeon 9700 PRO

Yet it seemed slow, compared with Agent !!

For someone who has come from Agent, 40tude, seems over
complex..

I want a client that is very simple, clean interface and fast..

Thanks

Okay. Dialog has a lot more functionality than Agent so it needs to be
a bit more complex. The solution is to keep to pretty much the
"default" setup.

XanaNews, or other clients, can give you that sort of thing. IF you
are happy to lose a number of the functions that Agent has. For
example, last time I checked Xana didn't save my sent newsgroup
posts. That didn't suite me.

A lot of Dialog functions can be activated by "user defined" keys.
That can result in speeding things up as well. Though I haven't found
Dialog needing to be speeded up. It's fine as it is.

Regards, John.
