Email name recognition

Why can't Outlook recognize the first few characters of a
person's name (from the Address Book) and fill in the
rest for you in the "To:" field like previous versions?
I do have that particular box checked off under options,
but there is no name recognition happening. I'm running
Outlook 2002 with Windows XP.
 
Because autocompletion does not use your Contacts data. It uses a cache that
you will populate as you send messages.
