email messages with wrong "from" field

On the contact us page, there's a link to "(e-mail address removed)". The
link works and the message is sent but the "from" field on the email has my
(the author's) email address and name rather than the internet visitor who
sends the email. The site is "youngerfurniture.com/contact_us

Why/how does my name show up in the "from" field of others' emails?
 
If you are referring to the FP forms to email feature, that's how it works.
It is actually sending the mail from the server, not from the person filling
it out.

Is there a way to change the "return" email address to reflect the customer
who owns the site rather than me, the author?

I'm not sure if you are referring to the email that gets generated by the
form on the page with fields, etc. or to the email that gets generated by the
email link, "(e-mail address removed)" which is separate from the form.
It's just a hyperlink. Is this supposed to generate an email from the
server? I thought it generates an email from the person's email system.

Hi Susan,
Looked at your site and I see you have a line where the visitor can insert
his email address. Have a look at that box and note its name ie b2 or email
if you have given it a name.
Then right click on the form and select form properties
Click on options, then on e-mail results, and on the bottom where it says
reply-to-line put a tick mark at form field name (meaning the name of the
above mentioned email box) and in the line below type in the exact name of
the e-mail box ie b2 or email... save and then the email adress inserted by
a visitor should be in the reply to line of the message you receive

Andre's method is exactly how I would set up the Reply-to email
header. In the received email click on Reply, and the customer's
address will be shown.
It does not affect the From line in the email.
 
You will have to ask your host to reconfigure the email transport in
the FrontPage extensions with the correct address.
