email mail merge

I want to personalize a mass bcc email that will show the
name of only the recepiant's name in the "To:" field when
they receive it and not the rest. I dont see an email
field in the mail merge categories. I thought this would
be the way to do it but now I'm lost. What can I do?

Word's email merge capabilities are rather limited.

I'd say you have two choices, basically:
- use VBA to send the emails (you'll find code on my website
and the mvps.org/word site that use two different approaches
to pull a mail merge result apart; the latter also has some
email elements you can build on)

- use a third-party software. There are a number available
that specialize in mass-email generation. You should find a
list you can start with at www.slipstick.com
