email in outlook outbox is stuck transmiting cant delete or stop

Tried to send an email with photos attached last Wednesday. A week later it
is still saying transmiting and as a result I can't delete it or stop it and
it slows down sending and receiving other emails. I just want to stop it and
delete it.

Open the email. Close it, then try to delete it.
