email from outlook

bought laptop with Outlook already loaded. I can't email
from my contacts. the outlook license page says "no email"
how can i get the email.. thanks

but when i go into file, new , i don't get a mail option!

I mean you have to actually set up your e-mail account in Outlook so that
Outlook knows where to go to get your e-mail, and where to send it -- e-mail
addresses are not enough; your mail goes through servers provided by your
Internet Service Provider before it reaches you or the people you send to.
If you don't know how to set up your e-mail account, ask your ISP for help.

The File->New menu has nothing to do with creating e-mail accounts. If
you can start Outlook without any e-mail accounts defined (I don't that
you can) then use the Tools -> E-mail Accounts menu to create e-mail
account(s). Otherwise, you can use the Mail applet in Control Panel.
