email...from office word

When I push the office button...then send.....ONLY the fax option is in dark.
The email is grey and will not let me do an email. Very confused..how do I
email what I have just typed...Thank you.
 
First check that in Control Panel, Internet Options, Programs the correct
default email client is selected. If that isn't the problem, please let us
know which version of Word, Windows and email client you are using.
 
Thank you for reply (delay/medical) I went to Internet Options. But am not
seeing what you say. This is Vista (my old system was damaged by lightning)
and gosh I just run into one thing after another. When I brought this
machine home...I plugged in my cable and then placed connection addresses in
my Outlook Express. Never in my IE. I asked someone and they said no need.
Besides problem I already mentioned, printing my pictures from the gallery
comeout pink just some of the time. But I started off here wondering why I
can't mail from word. Thank you so much. Microsoft Office Word (School).
Oh can I also say, when I bought this Vista it had the word PREMIUM. I
thought it was the really the best but found out the bottom. Just very
frustrating for an older person.
 
I can sympathise with your struggle to get around a new OS forced on you by
circumstances. In Vista you need to look in Control Panel, Internet Options,
Programs tab, click on the Set Programs button and then choose Set Your
Default Programs (that's convoluted compared to Windows XP).
