Email forawarding

I have a user with a laptop computer who needs to forward
email sent to his Exchange Server account when 'out of
office'. The account to be forwarded to is an AOL account.
I have have set this up as a rule but it does not work
automatically. I can manually forward email to his account
but not automatically. Having spent three hour this
evening trawling through technet any help with this isse
would be gratefullu received. (We use Exchange Server V5.5
at present if that helps.)

Go into the properties of the Internet Mail Connector. Go to the Advanced
tab (or button, can't remember) and uncheck the box marked "disable out of
office replies to the internet".
