I have an email address that is being remembered by my computer, however, it
is not in my address book and I want to delete it. I am using windows vista.
Thank you

The auto-complete memory is in a registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Recently Used Addresses

Unless you are familiar with editing the registry, you should probably not
mess with it.
The address you don't want to be remembered will go away eventually
since the registry apparently only retains the last 13 email addresses.

There appears to be some duplication, and sometimes a value contains only
the name part, and another value has the address part that goes along with
that name.

tx for this info:

is there some way of getting it to remember *all* addresses??!

It is frustrating and time consuming to have to "select recipients" so much
of the time! I much preferred OE for this reason.

Windows Mail currently has a number of severe bugs which apparently
will not be fixed for a long time.
This particular bug is fixed in Windows Live Mail, so you may want to try it:
