Email comes in twice

I pull in my email and then it comes in a second time. At first, all of my
emails would GO out two times. Not sure how I got that one fixed ???, but
now I have this problem. I am using Vista with Earthlink as my internet
provider.
Never had all of these problems with the old Windows 98!!! Can anyone
recommend a good --easy reference guide for using Vista and the many Vista
problems?

Is this a POP3 or an IMAP account?
 
Check your mail accounts in Windows Mail to make sure you don't
have a duplicate account.
