email checker

Is there a freeware program that will do what mailwasher does with one
extra thing?? like not flash it's ruddy tray icon :-@ for you to
click on just to find that there is no mail, it has done it's job by
deleting all mail that isn't from people in my address book, I would
like it to notify me when there is mail to download and if not all was
junk it would sit there nice and still till I recieved some from a
friend!!!!
Is there such a beast if so I would say it had to be the best thing
since sliced bread LOL.

I don't understand why yours would blink if no e-mail.
Mine only blinks when I receive new e-mail.
Are you using the Process Mail when you do get mail?

Well ... www.spamihilator.com should do
just add the "POP3 checker" plugin... btw
it can do even more ... :-)

I have it running in the background all day and it checks the mail each
5 minutes and when there is mail the icon will flash which is what it
is suposed to do but, when it checks the mail and all that is there is
spam/junk mail it does it's job and deletes it but the silly thing
stills flashes in the tray and when I click on it there isn't any mail
because it has deleted it and that's the enoying part to get it to
stop, which is impossible at the moment, I sent a susgestion in a while
ago but no reply,
so is there a free program that will let you know when there is mail
there and not that there was!!!!
