Email blocked after XP update

After installing the latest batch of XP updates, I lost
the ability to get access to my email using Outlook
Express. I can still get access to the web using IE. And
I can even access my email using a mail-to-web site (so I
know my email server is online and working). Also, I
can "fix" the problem by doing a System Restore; but that
means I lose the security benefits of the updates. Any
solutions?
 
What do you mean cant get the mail? Cant open it or it
doesnt connect to the email server.

Hello Lon,
Do you mean that Outlook Express "appeared" to not show your old emails?
In O.E. go to the menu options, select View, click on (select) "Layout ...."
Then take a close look at the selections that are on, or off.
"Some users" have reported their selections had changed. Note: I have not experienced these problems.
