Email backup needed due to: new ISP and reformat hard drive

My previous ISP (internet via satellite) is being
replaced with Comcast DSL. I will also be reformatting
my hard drive. How can I save my emails to CD-ROM, so
they can then be used with the new ISP? I don't think
simply copying my .dbx files to a CD-ROM and then
replacing them in same folder after the hard drive
reformat will do the trick...?
Note: I was using Outlook Express 6 with the satellite
ISP and will continue to use Outlook Express 6 with the
new Comcast DSL.
Thank you!
Dave S.

This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program despite its similar name..

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
outlook express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x

A good website for information on OE is:
