I sent some emails using mail merge and although they appear in my sent
folder, no matter what I do I cant seem to get them to appear in the history
tab associated with that contact. I have followed the instructions on how to
manage autolinking but something is missing as the emails are still not
registered. Any suggestions as to what I might have missed?

If the To: email address in the messages matches the email address in
the contact, and you've run the "Search and Link..." in the Manage E-
mail Auto-linking dialog, and the Sent Items folder is checked, then
it should work. Do emails you send normally (without mail merge) show
up?

Yes, the right address was after 'To:...' in the sent folder and the email
linking was set up to record sent messages. I have been fiddling about and
when I moved all my sent messages to an old sent folder in another personal
folder, they showed up in autolinking. My autolinking seems to be set up to
see only an old personal folder.

Check your Email autolinking settings in Business Contact Manager,
Manage E-mail Autolinking. Ensure that the email addresses (email tab)
and folders (Folders tab) are checked the way you want them.

Thanks Chris - I had tried this and checked everything on both the email and
folders tab before doing the autolinking. I solved it by setting up yet
another personal folder, changing it to be the default setting in the email
and in the data files tab. I did another email autolinking (which ties up
outlook for soooo long) but it worked this time.
