I recently downloaded all MS updates for my WINDOWS Me.
Since downloading the updates I cannot open attachments to
emails. I get the following warning: A paperclip symbol
then "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachment
in your mail:" then the subj title of the email. I know
all of the attachments are not infected. What can I do to
correct this and open my email attachments? I have NORTON
virus protection.

Tks, Ken

It's an OE Setup Option. Look and you'll find it.

(Wrong Newsgroup by the way. This is for security in MS Access, the database

Unless, of course, the attachments are Access MDB files. <g>

Go to the menu item "Tools, Options...", and, in the resulting dialog, the
"Security Tab",
uncheck the checkbox beside "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that
could potentially be a virus."

WARNING: Changing this setting increases the potential for virus activation, so
do so AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
