For instance if I want to lookup and see who/what is the real name of
"johndoe"....or (e-mail address removed)
Well...on second though I have begun to think that would be nearly
impossible to accomplish.

no, there was some microsoft site ID lookup I saw some time back that let
you see all usenet alias' - it was kinda scary to see how thorough it was!
anyone know more?
