Is it possible to setup email alerts to recipients other than attendees for a
shared resource? Here is what I am trying to accomplish:

-- Shared Resource --
I have a conference room setup as a shared resource in our organization.
The resource is just an AD user with an email alias that auto accepts
calendar requests (this is done per Micrsoft's instructions).

What I would like to do is send an email alert to the maintenance manager to
let him know the room will be used so it can be prepared, even though he is
not on the attendee list. I have already granted access for him to view the
calendar for this resource, but ideally he would like to get an email alert
for this meeting without any intervention.

Things I have already tried (didn't work):
- Setting him up as a view only delegate that receives email updates
- Setup an email forward on the resource's account
- Create email rule to forward all mail incoming to the resource to said user

Any help is appreciated...

I'm kind of looking for the same thing. (Exchange 2010) The problem is the room auto accepts meeting requests, meaning the resource doesn't send anything to the delegate, but the delegate still wants to receive emails when someone books the resource. I can't find anything for calendar alerts in the admin console. Have you found anything?
