email adress shows in forum postings

How can adjust settings to keep individual user's email addresses from
showing when they post to our forum...or is that even a possibility?
 
If you are using the FrontPage discussion web then every field used in
the Post forms will be displayed.
Your choices are:
1) Use a different discussion web (choice depends on what scripting
languages and databases are supported by your host)

2) Remove the email field from the Post forms.

I definitely would NOT leave things as they are.
