When I type an email address into a Word document, it does not turn blue. Can anyone tell me why and advise how to make it do what it's supposed to do?

One of two ways

1. Hit enter right after the email address an usually it
will automatically appear, if not...

2. Highlight the object and go to you menu..
select "Insert", "Hyperlink"

-Good luck,
Laura

Go to the AutoFormat As You Type tab of Tools | AutoCorrect (AutoCorrect
Options in Word 2002) and check the box for "Internet and network paths with
hyperlinks." This affects only addresses that you type in. If you paste them
in, they will not be affected. To fix that, make sure that the same box is
checked on the AutoFormat tab; then you can select just the email address
and click on the AutoFormat button to turn it into a hyperlink.
