email address being used by others

I have been getting a couple of notices of returned e-mails from email
addresses that I never sent an email to. I suspect that someone is
using my address to send spam. If someone could point me to some info
on this problem I would appreciate it. If this is not the correct
group could someone tell be where I should be posting to get the best
info

There's really nothing you can do about this. The most common cause is
that someone you know has your email address on their computer, and
their computer is infected with one of the many viruses that send
emails to everyone in the addressbook with an infected attachment. Many
of these viruses also spoof the From line, so it is completely possible
that you don't know the person whose computer is infected. In the
bounced emails case, the virus was sent to an invalid address using
your spoofed address.

Ignore it, don't open those emails, move on.
