know this is possible as i have done it before but i cant remember how,
please please help me, im running windows vista home premium. thank you very
much indeed! T Jones

I don't know what you mean by sending from a local folder.
All sending in Windows Mail is done from the compose window,
which is not associated with any particular local folder.
"Local Folders" is just a group name for a collection of
standard folders such as Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, etc.
You need to be more specific about describing what you want
to do.

i want all my emails going into the local folder in windows mail, when i
receive an email from one of my aol accounts the email will go into Inbox in
the Local Folders, and when i send an email it will be stored on the Sent
Items in the Local folders!

Your AOL account is probably an IMAP account, which means that the local
folders for it are only reflections of what's on the server. Because of
this it has to have its own Inbox and Sent Items folders.

you can do it, i done it before, but i cant remeber how, its really bugging
me, i done it easily, with both accounts, but i cant do it now, i cant
remember lol

thank you for trying to help me out, much apprechiated. if someone finds out

Sorry then, but I don't know of a way to do it besides getting POP3 access
to the accounts.
Or are we talking about Windows Live Mail rather than Windows Mail?

i found out how to do it, when adding the new aol account, instead of
selecting IMAP select POP3 but enter all the information found at aol keyword
IMAP (all the imap settings) this will then put all the emails into the local
folders and so on, which means you havent got another folder called AOL or
what ever you called it, so i have got two aol accounts receiving emails into
the local folders!

WICKED!

well chuffed now!!

thanx for your help though, much apprechiated!
