running outlook 2002 under winxp prof on new IBM Thinkpad
T40. last night when i hit send/receive nothing happened.
it had been working. now when i if i write an email and
clicks accounts to select the email account to send from,
a fatal error notice appears. so it appears that somehow
the pop email section of outlook 2002 is just not
funstioning. any help apprciated. tried the knowledge
base and the repair functions - nothing sems to address
this issue. opa

YES Have run "detect and Repair" several times. didn't
help. i just uninstalled office xp prof and reinstalled
it. same problem again. also disabled norton anti virus
2003. that wasn't it. running out of options here. Any
more ideas - suggestions. opa

I should add that the email accounts i have set up in
outlook 2002 work - when you click "test account" on each
one they send out the test message no problem.

The exact error message that appears when you click on
accounts to send an email is " unable to complete
operation. a fatal error has occurred in outlook".

Does this have anything to do with it? This is for Outlook 2002:

: Yah same here. Exact same issue. WindowsXP with Office
: 2002_SP2. Many accounts set up, but only 2 are
: registering in Send/Receive. Tried to do a complete re-
: install of office, but the same problem persists. Seems
: like it's an OS level issue of some kind. Please let me
: know if you find a cure :)
