Hi !

Can anyone advise how to email a desktop shortcut to a network folder so the
user can save and have the shortcut on their desktop. I know how to send a
hyperlink but this does not create the shortcut which is one we need on all
desktops in the company.

I suppose it may also be possible using some group policy so the shortcut
appears on all desktops - if this would be better can any point me in the
right direction ?

Thanks in advance

Create a shortcut and then zip the folder so security restrictions won't
block the file.

You can't set a group policy for this but you can create a logonscript that
copies the file to the desktop at user logon.
