Emachines- Motherboard Failures

Hi,

I've got an Emachine T2865- bought a few years ago. While under 3-yr warranty- motherboard had to be replaced, due to non-startup w/Windows XP but more often, nothing on MONITOR. Last year, I bought a new monitor, thinking it was a monitor issue. New 19" flat screen was ON, but again nothing on the screen, or flash of my desktop photo, then nothing. When the 1st motherboard replaced, I was informed the "sockets" were short-circuiting, while still under warranty, but Emachines refused to acknowledge this failure, thus replaced the motherboard anyway. Now, one year later, Per GeekSquad, when I took in for diagnosis, told I needed a new motherboard again(almost 1 yr after the original was replaced.) So I complained directly to Emachines, advised this would be 3rd motherboard and advised them about the "socket" issue, Emachines AGAIN denied any problems with sockets. So, I wasted $190 for a new motherboard which included new power supply (required). Installed, but never worked. Again same issue, with old monitor and new monitor, nothing on screen, even though all lights/sounds working on CPU. WHY?? There are no KIDS or abuse on this computer! Used for mostly photography editing and email. Any ideas?? I just googled a new, refurbished Emachine, newer model w/Vista and more toys for only $40 more than that NEW motherboard? I'm very hesitant about even buying a new desktop!
Already ruled out Compaq, HP,too?!

Emachines is notorious for motherboard failures.

If you buy another, the problem is on your end.
