EM_EXEC.EXE - ENTRY POINT NOT FOUND
The Procedure Entry Point ?SetValueDatd@CRegEntry@@QAEJABVCString@@ABV2@@Z
Could Not Be Located In The Dynamic Link Library COMCTR.dll

I have just updated to Windows SP1 (Home edition) and now when I start the
computer I get this message. Pleas help.

Bring up System Configuration Utility by -

START > RUN > msconfig

This utility should be in Normal Startup unless you are using it for troubleshooting a particular issue.

Click on the Startup tab at the top

Note the LOCATION of em_exec

I am pretty sure it loads from the Registry -

I think it probably loads from: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Just navigate to and click on that Run key and delete em_exec from the right hand pane -

Close Registry Editor

Restart the computer
