Tom

I have to click the blue e several times before I finally
get my home page. Usually I get the passport sign-in
page and when I sign in, a screen pops up saying that I
am already signed in. I suspect the problem arises from
installing and uninstalling Spybot S & D and Windows Anti
spy Beta. I did disc cleanup, defrag, the Tools-Internet
Options thing, and system restore, all without success.
Help please.

If you have Microsoft Antispyware still installed, can you use it's system
explorer feature (tools, advanced tools, system explorers) to look at your
HOSTS file.

Please remove ALL entries from this file except for a single entry for
localhost at the beginning. This should be the sole entry:
-----------------------
localhost
IP Addresse: 127.0.0.1

Status: Active

This is a valid local loopback address. A local loopback address is a
special Internet address, 127.0.0.1, defined by the Internet Protocol. A
host can use the local loopback address to send messages to itself. This
default address is configured by Windows.

---------------------------

Choose BLOCK for all other entries.

This file is a simple text file, so if you know how to find it and are
comfortable editing it, you may wish to use notepad for that purpose rather
than the facilities of Microsoft Antispyware, depending on the number of
entries involved.
