Using the feature in Powerpoint to save with embedded fonts DOES NOT WORK too
often because of READ-ONLY fonts. This causes immense time wasting and
constrination. IT IS A VESTAGE OF THE UGLY PAST AND A HUGE PROBLEM THAT CAN
BE ELIMINATED.

Not a chance. And that's how it should be.

Fonts are the intellectual property of the companies or individuals that created them.

While the owners may choose to allow free distribution of the fonts, they're by no means
required to any more than GM or Toyota are required to give us free cars. This is their
livelihood.

MS simply respects the wishes of the font owners.

If you *need* to distribute fonts, you should choose fonts that are freely distributable
or contact the font owner and negotiate a license that allows distribution.

Or talk Toyota into giving me a free Scion. I'll buy you any fonts you want. ;-)
