They were on E bay last night with several 1000 high priced items. This
morning they are gone. The E bay items requested a buyer ID before bidding.
I sent an E mail requesting one and was ask if I would like to buy an Epson
2200 now. I reply sure and they replied with a price of $450 free shipping;
E mail lingo follows:

========================================

DP> Hello dp,

DP> Sir wouldn't you want a buy it now price ?

DP> The shipping is free

DP> Is brand new in box with full warranty sir

=========================================

Hello DP,

My experience with eBay is that they will only end an auction or suspend an
account if they have a *lot* of complaints or clear evidence of fraud. eBay
makes their money by having auctions, they are very reluctant to pull the plug.
Buyer beware ....

The cheapest 2200 on the Internet is $617 (including shipping) and I don't
understand how they can do it. I called by credit card company and ask if I
am protected if I get a raw deal. They told me to call back during the week.
I am not sure it is worth the hassle.

I have made a mistake they are still on E bay. They have a $5K camera (nice
camera) starting at $.10. with no reserve.

What are they up to?

pssst.... If you have to question what they're doing, you can't afford
to play the game. This is for high rollers!

They are thieves. Check out www.qelza.com and www.eurobizportal.com.
You can't enter a credit card number, all they want is Western Union.
Needless to say, your money ends up in the greasy hands of some
Italian grifter and you get nothing. They also use the domain
"safeharbor-ebay.com" for a phony escrow service.

Is it really necessary to make an slur about people's geographical
origin to make your point?

The information is helpful, but there are good and bad people
everywhere. I have no Italian blood, to my knowledge, so this isn't a
"personal" attack against me, but it is still offensive.

Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. The Italians are
currently big on Ebay grifting, the same way the Nigerians are into
the "government official needs a place to put excess funds" scam. The
thieves on the grift which gave birth to this thread are Italian. If
you want to personally experience quick separation from your cash,
send it to any of the folks on Ebay who tell you, "I am in Rome,
Italy, sir and am seling off the stock of a bankrupt store, I acept
payments for this iteams by Western Union sir." (quoted from a recent
laptop scam with all pertinent misspellings intact)
