Hi !
While trying to EFS-encrypt a file of mine on a share residing on a
remote file server on our LAN, the operation aborts returning an error
box that says (translated by me from Windows' idea of my local language
) :
-----------------------------------------------------------------
|| Error while applying attributes x
<!> An error has occurred while applying attributes to file :
H:\mytest.txt
Set of keys (or Keyset?) does not exist. [French : "Le jeu de clés
n'existe pas."]
[Ignore] [IgnoreAll] [Retry] [Cancel]
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I have researched this problem to no avail. Can someone point to the
explanation(s) for the cause(s) of that message ? It does not seem to be
a matter of "trust for delegation".
IIUW, the remote computer should create a local EFS key associated to my
LAN account the first time I try to encrypt a file there. So it can't be
MY key(s) which are missing, maybe it just cannot encrypt because there
is no "Recovery Agent(s)" or it can't find the key(s)for every Recovery
agent ?
Please someone explain this, it's been a puzzle to me.
TIA
