Some thousand postings ago I read a SUPER answer from an MVP
I think it was actually a link to his site/article. Cannot find it again.

Content - partition for page file, one for applications, one for download,
one for back-ups - etc

I'd like to re-read it - should have printed it off but didn't - my mistake.

Does anyone recognise (and can provide) this data link (or just tell me
which posting it's in ?)

Thanks, Len

There have been many articles and messages covering this subject. Best
strategy for you is to use Google to find the information. Go to this
website:

http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=lang_en&newwindow=1&group=microsoft.public.windowsxp

Select to search the XP groups only and enter your search words enclosed in
quotes, separated by a space similar to the following.

"partition" "page file" "applications"

Click the search button and browse the results.

Here's a useful tip!
Create a new folder in *Local Folders* and call it *KEEP* (or whatever!).
The next time you see a post you want to keep, just drag the header into it.

Good tip - Thanks !!

Maybe looking for "Partition Planning" on Jim Eshelman's site?

Sharon, what would I do without you ? You're a TREASURE ! This is the link I
wanted - wish I'd seen yr post before two hours on Googling - gave up after
page 45 (= over 500 articles, none of which gave this link).
At 02.12 GMT - I'm now off to bed ! Thanks again
Len
PS you told me a week ago, ng's are addictive - aren't they, just !

Yes, I did tell you that didn't I? ;^)
I'm glad that the quest for the missing article ended successfully for you.
