hello -- i think i want to put more SDRAM in my PC.
will it make a meaningful difference? per info. on AMD's
web site, i'm sticking with one type, one brand.

i've got: an AMD Duron CPU (600MHz) on a Tyan Trinity
2390KT mo' bo', 512 MB of PC133 SDRAM and one open RAM
slot. my HDD is a maxtor 15 GB drive. i don't use the
CD or the floppy disk very much

i am mainly a writer, doing some moderately complex
spreadsheeting, and a fair amount of web surfing for text
and drawing content. as yet, i'm just on a dial-up line,
but hope to migrate to DSL before much longer?

for the above configuration and my kind of usage, can my
system benefit from either 256 or 512 MB additional RAM?

Hello

Provides some benefit to your applications running a bit more
fast but if your just writing their is no big gain their, if you want
to see a major gain you would of course have to upgrade your
processor. See Duron's only have 128 cache, while other have
256cache to 512 cache. I would recommend that you upgrade
processor.

I would upgrade the CPU if you want to see some real improvement.
