I am interested to edit the WEB PAGES saved
on to my hard disk folder with .mht extensions.
Could someone please give a clue of freeware
editor to edit to keep the same .mht format.
Thanks.

Sorry, the only editor I could find that'll do that directly isn't
free ("blocknote"). You're better off saving as "Web Page, Complete"
in the first place, if you feel you might later need to edit.
Re-saving an MHT as "Web Page, Complete" for editing is problematic
because the original filenames and extensions of the component files
are not preserved, but it should work okay if all you want to edit is
the main file.

So _that's_ why mht files become unusable! I tried that format for a
bit but since I move files around or burn backups to CDs, found that
they became corrupted as soon as I did that. I quickly went back to
saving as complete web page and where I just put all graphics into one
folder labelled "images" and re-route absolute paths to virtual ones
(or whatever it's called, I never get that second name right <g>!).
i.e., src code change from full path to "src img=images\...".

Good luck!

Relative paths. The things that I keep forgetting to use when I'm
putting things together. :-)

THANKS!!! I'm awful in one way - when I first learn something, that
gets stuck in my head. RELATIVE, not VIRTUAL! I always know I have
the wrong word when I think virtual path <lol>. Too funny.

Thanks for jogging my memory! After 3 years of trying to keep
"relative" in mind, still doesn't work.
